Despite the distance between the camera and the subject, the zoom made it possible to fill a much larger part of the frame with the pigeon without physically approaching it.
Turtle at 12.5× Optical Zoom
The following photographs were also taken at 12.5× optical zoom.
In this case, the subject was a turtle swimming through the water.
Continuous Shooting Sample
The turtle sequence was photographed using continuous shooting.
Because the turtle was moving while swimming, each frame captures a slightly different position of its head and front legs.
This provides a simple real-world example of using the Casio EX-ZR100 to follow a moving subject while shooting at the telephoto end of its optical zoom range.
